Assistant Food & Beverage Manager | Full Time | InterContinental Sydney Double Bay
Under the general direction of the Director of F&B, and within the framework of InterContinental Hotels Group and local hotel policies, the Assistant F&B Manager ensures the smooth operation of each shift through exceptional, guest-focused service and effective team supervision.

Responsibilities
Manage everyday activity, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers.
Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues.
Train colleagues to deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect.
Recommend or initiate any HR-related actions where needed.
Ensure all food and beverage equipment is operational and regularly cleaned.
Ensure all food and beverage facilities, including banquet/convention spaces, are clean, properly stocked and maintained to anticipated business volume; notify engineering immediately of any maintenance and repair needs.
Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on food, beverage and labour costs.
Working with the catering office, identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue.
Drive promotions that deliver great dining experiences for guests at a good value.
Ensure credit and financial transactions are handled in a secure manner.
Qualifications
Availability across a 7-day roster in particular PM shifts.
1 year of experience in a full-time F&B role, preferably in a hotel or luxury restaurant environment and specialisation.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, enthusiasm to learn new things and a can-do attitude.
Proficiency in delivering a seamless experience to customers.
Willingness to support and mentor junior staff as necessary.
