CJD's Brisbane Branch is seeking a motivated Yard Person to maintain, clean, and present our Volvo Construction Equipment, while assisting with general yard duties. This role offers variety and the chance to become an integral part of our dedicated service department, ensuring the preparation and presentation of top-quality equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out daily yard and detailing functions efficiently and effectively, including:
* Washing and detailing the exterior of machines using various cleaning methods and agents.
* Removing grease from engines and engine compartments.
* De-waxing new machines.
* Managing inter-branch transfers of equipment.
* Performing general yard duties as needed.
* Assist in loading and unloading of machinery on/off transporters
* Adhering to all OH&S requirements and procedures.
* Confidently operating heavy equipment when required.
* Showing a willingness to learn and develop skills in equipment detailing.
Requirements:
* A basic understanding of construction equipment (preferred but not essential).
* Physically capable of performing manual tasks associated with the role.
* Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 20kg, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment.
* A solid understanding of workplace safety is highly regarded.
* A current manual driver's license.
* Forklift license (preferred but not essential).
* Right to work in Australia
* Previous experience in warehousing, equipment maintenance, or similar yard-based roles (preferred but not essential)
