In this role, you'll:
Lead the Coordinator General division's performance insights function, setting the data strategy and performance management framework that drives integrated analytics, dashboards, and high quality reporting across the Transport network.
Shape how the organisation uses data to improve efficiency and deliver actionable insights, while ensuring robust KPIs, strong data governance, and reliable datasets that underpin confident and transparent decision making. Your leadership will elevate the use of automation, visualisation, and predictive analysis to provide timely, accurate insights that support operational performance across the network.
Guide meaningful engagement with stakeholders to understand their performance needs and translate these into clear, impactful reporting solutions. You'll support continuous improvement and operational optimisation across the division by communicating insights effectively and offering strategic, data driven recommendations. A key focus is expanding self service analytics to give stakeholders real time visibility of network performance, enabling proactive, informed decisions that improve transport outcomes for customers.

About you
You are a proactive leader that thrives in managing diverse stakeholder expectations while keeping reporting clear and transparent. You ensure data integrity across complex systems and turn fragmented information into reliable insights. Above all, you translate complex data into actionable intelligence that drives strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
You also demonstrate experience in:
* Synthesising complex information for executive and senior stakeholder decision making.
* Data analytics, statistical analysis, and big data techniques, with proficiency in relevant analytical tools and programming languages.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with ability to translate business needs into data driven solutions that deliver measurable operational and customer outcomes.
* Working with enterprise or cloud-based data platforms and analytics environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or equivalent) including data integration, modelling, and visualisation to support scalable reporting solutions.
* The transport sector or other complex, asset intensive or operational environments is highly desirable.
* Essential requirements - Tertiary qualifications in data analytics, information systems, statistics, business, economics, engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
