**About the role**
As a Primary Products Inspector, you will ensure our fruit and vegetable products meet industry and regulatory standards throughout the supply chain—from inspection and testing to advising, auditing, and enforcement.
**Key Responsibilities-**
- Examine incoming and outgoing fruit & vegetable consignments for size, ripeness, appearance, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- If needed instruct and explain producers what is need according to the standards.
- Examine samples for purity, physical defects, disease, insect damage, or chemical residues.
- To check how products are packaged, handled, stored, and transported to ensure protocols are followed.
- Ensure farms, packing areas, and transport vehicles maintain proper cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Offer guidance on pest and disease identification, compliance, and economic benefits of maintaining quality.
- Record inspection results, highlight non-compliance, and suggest corrective actions.
- Conduct training sessions for staff and farm workers on best practices in hygiene, inspection criteria, and packing protocols.
- Check for pests and diseases in incoming fruits and vegetables, and take steps to stop them spreading.
- Support and enforce compliance with food safety and biosecurity laws—by advising, gathering evidence, and working with authorities to ensure best practices are followed.
**Additional Requirements**:
- We require an individual who has minimum four years of experience and can perform given task with ease.
- Bachelor or above qualification is required.
- The interested individual should know quality testing methods in order to perform them on delivered stocks.
- Interested applicants must be a good communicator as we will require you to communicate with suppliers and customers.
