Bar Porter Job Summary
As a Bar Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and organization in the bar area. This includes ensuring adequate supplies of glassware, napkins, straws, ice, and garnishes are available during service periods. You will also perform various tasks as directed by bartenders or beverage management, such as completing bar setup duties and adhering to sanitation practices and procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the bar area.
* Ensure adequate supplies of glassware, napkins, straws, ice, and garnishes are available during service periods.
* Perform various tasks as directed by bartenders or beverage management.
* Adhere to sanitation practices and procedures.
* Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
* T.I.P.S. certification and Sanitation certification is preferred.
* Ability to communicate effectively with guests in English.
Work Environment:
The Casino environment can be hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy. As a Bar Porter, you may be exposed to second-hand smoke, excessive noise, and constant exposure to the general public. To be successful in this role, you must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English and work well in a team environment.
