Overview
Clough, in a joint venture with BMD, is working with the Northern Territory Government to deliver the Engineering, Procurement and Construction services for the Darwin Ship Lift facility. The project requires experienced Construction Supervisors across several specialty roles including Marine Lifting and Piling, Fabrication and Welding, Lifting and Rigging, and Electrical Installation.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Marine Lifting and Piling Supervisor
2. Operate floating barges and execute complex marine construction activities
3. Manage barge maneuvering using anchor winches and support vessels
4. Install tubular piles up to 35 m long, general piling, pile‐top drilling, and wharf construction using floating crane barges
5. Lead safe, efficient operations and drive problem‐solving in a dynamic marine environment
6. Fabrication and Welding Supervisor
7. Provide on‐site leadership for fabrication and welding activities in wharf construction and mechanical installations
8. Ensure adherence to project specifications and coating application requirements
9. Coordinate crews and maintain safe work practices
10. Support efficient delivery in a marine‐focused construction environment
11. Lifting and Rigging Supervisor
12. Manage large crawler cranes and complex lifting operations, overseeing rigging registers
13. Interpret and execute complex lift plans and manage up to four crane crews concurrently
14. Maintain and promote company safety plans, procedures, and operational standards
15. Apply strong problem‐solving and communication skills
16. Electrical Installation Supervisor
17. Oversee electrical installation activities on site, coordinating subcontractors and self‐perform crews
18. Ensure safe, high‐quality and efficient delivery of large‐scale infrastructure works
19. Leverage strong technical knowledge and drive progress in a fast‐paced construction environment
Qualifications
20. Proven experience in the respective supervisory role (marine, fabrication, rigging, or electrical)
21. Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills
22. Commitment to safety and ability to promote and enforce safety plans
23. Capacity for problem‐solving in dynamic work environments
