The Opportunity
A new and exciting opportunity has opened for a
Journalist Producer
to join the 7NEWS team in QLD in what promises to be an exciting year ahead at Seven.
What you'll do
Based in Townsville and reporting to the Supervising Producer, you will be primarily focused on developing and creating high-standard segments. You will be responsible for breaking news stories and creating engaging content as well as contributing to editorial meetings and liaising with the News Director regarding story development.
What you'll bring
You'll be a driven and energetic Journalist, with the ability to think clearly and act quickly under pressure, possessing excellent communication skills to collaborate with different stakeholders internally, as well as externally with the local community. You'll be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on tight deadlines. You'll also bring:
A minimum two years' experience in television news reporting and producing.
Strong leadership qualities, with first-class people skills.
Energetic, self-starter attitude with the ability to think clearly and act quickly under pressure.
A solid understanding of media law and ethics
A sense of urgency and focus on deadlines
