Instructional Designer

This role supports the Learning and Development function within a government department that has undergone significant change. The Instructional Designer will plan, design, develop and deploy training modules and learning solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Existing online learning modules will be amended/updated with current Department branding and training content.
Responsibilities
- Proactively contribute to the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
- Apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to develop learning materials and resources for online courses.
- Utilise high-level interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and review educational resources and online content.
- Coordinate the project management of learning solutions, and work within tight time frames, individually and as a team member, to achieve work unit goals.
- Proof and edit submissions from subject matter experts and other team members, ensuring suitability for the defined target audience.
- Contribute to writing and editing content of administration and marketing materials.
Requirements
- Availability for a mid‑November start.
- Proficiency with LMS (e.g. Elmo) and experience designing e‑learning modules using Articulate Rise.
- Level 5 casual appointment.
