This position can be based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney.

Position Overview

Working closely with the Director and Assistant Director, UCC, the UC Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support, both within daily operations and projects. This role will also act as an escalation point for the IT Service Desk, and other teams such as Infrastructure and Digital Practice in supporting various technologies relating to video conferencing, cloud calling, digital signage, etc. Additionally, this role will also manage escalations through to external vendors and collaborate closely with other business areas and teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Take ownership of issues related to Unified Communications & Collaboration products and services: Including but not limited to:
o Webex Calling
o MS Teams
o Video conference hardware (Codecs, DSP, Controllers, etc)
o Digital Signage
* Act as an escalation point for the IT Service Desk, VIQ and Infrastructure providing advice and coordinating the resolution of technical issues from escalation through to resolution.
* Raise support cases with external support teams such as Cisco TAC, Microsoft Support, 3rd party integrators.
* Provide technical support ensuring smooth implementation and execution of tasks.
* Assist in managing and coordinating the delivery of assigned related projects, including but not limited to timelines, registry access, infrastructure requirements and building owner approvals.
* Organise procurement of hardware and services, obtaining business requirements, drafting procurement plans, tracking tasks and managing vendors.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including processes and technical information.
* Provide information to internal and external stakeholders for UC related work.
* Provide support in managing ad hoc projects and deliverables within IT.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders across all jurisdictions to meet organisational goals.
* Stay on top of technology trends and how these technologies can be adapted within the Court environment to benefit court operations.

Whilst previous experience working in an Audio Visual/Videoconferencing environment is preferred, the core competencies of this role include strong technical problem-solving skills, organisational and coordination skills, relationship management and stakeholder engagement. Strong background with Cisco collaboration endpoints, infrastructure, and platforms is highly desirable.

Selection Criteria

1. Demonstrated technical expertise in Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies

Proven experience supporting and administering UC platforms such as Webex Meetings, Webex Calling, Webex Contact Centre, Microsoft Teams, video-conferencing hardware (codecs, DSPs, controllers), and digital signage solutions. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, implement solutions, and ensure reliable service delivery across diverse environments.

2. Strong problem solving and escalation management capabilities

Ability to act as a senior escalation point for Service Desk and internal technical teams, providing advanced diagnostic support, coordinating resolution activities, and managing escalations through to external vendors such as Cisco TAC, Microsoft Support, and third-party AV integrators.

3. Experience coordinating and delivering technology projects

Demonstrated capability to support and coordinate UC related projects, including managing timelines, infrastructure requirements, stakeholder engagement, procurement activities, and vendor management. Ability to ensure smooth implementation and execution of technical deliverables.

4. High-level communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills

Strong ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders, maintain comprehensive documentation, and collaborate effectively across multiple business areas and jurisdictions. Proven relationship building skills to support organisational goals.

5. Ability to work proactively, stay organised, and adapt to emerging technologies

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment. Commitment to staying current with technology trends and identifying opportunities to enhance UC capabilities within the organisation.
