Centre Cook Role Summary
Delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to children in our care is a vital aspect of this role. Centre Cooks work closely with the Centre Director to plan menus, source ingredients, and prepare meals that cater to diverse dietary needs.
About This Position:
* This part-time role involves working a roster of 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
* Centre Cooks must maintain exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene during food preparation, storage, and handling.
* The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, ability to multitask, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare meals that meet the dietary requirements of the children
2. Plan menus and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
3. Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting
* Current NT Working with Children Check
