About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised Inspections Officer / Assistant Property Manager to join us. This role is primarily responsible for conducting routine inspections and leasing viewings for our properties throughout our service region.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct routine property inspections in accordance with legislation and agency standards, including:
* The planning of the ongoing inspection schedule, including the issuing of Entry Notices for future inspections and liaising with tenants regarding inspection activities.
* Document property condition through our agency software (Property Me), with a focus upon accurate record keeping.
* Communicate inspection findings clearly to Property Managers and owners, including the identification and reporting of maintenance issues and required repairs.
* Conduct leasing viewings for prospective new tenants, including recording attendance and providing feedback regarding prospective tenants to the team.
* Working alongside a Property Manager, assist with conducting inspections for entry and vacate processes for tenancies, as requested.
* Assist our agency with other tasks as requested, including providing administrative support and property management duties during periods of leave for other team members.
Skills and Experience Required
* Current Property Management Certificate (Qld), or willingness to obtain it
* Current Queensland Drivers Licence with a reliable vehicle for transport
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Experience with PropertyMe software (desirable but not essential, you can learn)
* Understanding of and willingness to learn, the Queensland tenancy legislation, particularly as it relates to property inspections and other role responsibilities.
* Professional presentation and manner, with the ability to work independently
Typical Schedule of Work
* Generally, 10 – 14 hours per week
* One weekday for conducting routine inspection visits and undertaking related administration and data entry for completed inspections. We currently undertake routine inspections each Wednesday.
* Saturday morning attendance as required for leasing viewings (maximum 4 hours)
* Potential to step up in hours to support team members.
* Flexibility to work the weekday hours (e.g. split hours over 2 days for routine inspections).
Remuneration
* $35.15 per hour (casual)
* 12% Superannuation Guarantee
* Travel paid for your work-related travel
