What this job involves:
The Senior Facilities Manager (SFM) will have the overall responsibility for managing the Port Moresby Australian High Commission precinct inclusive of the extensive staff accommodation compounds. The position will be the key point of contact for the client and will be responsible for all lines of business and third-party relationships within the region. For this role you will be based full time client side (on site) in Port Moresby and will manage a team of local trades/admin staff and support Facilities Manager/s.
As the SFM you will have overall responsibility for the delivery of comprehensive engineering and facility services, project management, site budgets, accounting and finance, contractor management, contract services, maintenance and operations including compliance, and staff management as required by the Master Services Agreement (MSA) between DFAT and JLL.
You will form part of the broader FM team in the Pacific region where you will manage and oversee the day-to-day client activities for the assigned properties. You’ll also implement building procedures and performance measures and ensure that they are maintained at all times. The position requires proactive management and engagement with senior staff and stakeholders to ensure facilities and property management services do not impact on client operations or events and achieve Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement targets.
Major Responsibilities:
Manage, coordinate, and exercise functional responsibility for Facility Management services within assigned facilities throughout Port Moresby. Provide overall facility services in accordance with the accounts’ standard processes and procedures, including application of policies and programs and coordination of informationEnsure total contract compliance, accurate and timely reporting, and resolve critical impact issuesEnsure compliance with portfolio-wide initiatives and relevant requirements and regulations that pertain to the operating of facilities managed on behalf of the clientResponsible for team management, staff development and planning

Must have a current Australian Government Negative Vetting 2 Security ClearanceExtensive experience in property/facilities management for complex, large-scale facilitiesProven strategic planning abilities and long-term asset management experienceStrong financial acumen with budget management experience at the $2M+ levelDemonstrated success in leading multiple operational verticals within a property management contextExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience working in diplomatic, government, or high-security environments preferredKnowledge of Australian building regulations and property management practices
