THE POSITION
We are seeking a Manager to join our dynamic and growing team of management consultants, working in a collaborative environment to deliver a diverse range of projects.
You will possess a strong working knowledge and a deep interest in at least one of our sectors of focus. This experience must include at least 4 years of experience in management consulting (within an established management consulting firm).
You will manage projects – either as a Project Manager or Project Lead – depending on the project's size and complexity, from inception to completion within a structured, team-based environment. In your role, you will work closely with the Directors of the business, other team members and a diverse range of clients and stakeholders (from service users to senior personnel, including CEOs and Board members).
Impact Co.'s culture is supportive and the content challenging – providing the foundations for a successful career in impact-led consulting. Our ability to develop a strong market presence is a testament to the resilience and commitment of the team.
The work that you will be doing includes:
* Client and stakeholder engagement: Leading key client meetings and liaising with key stakeholders. Building relationships with client contacts and maintaining these beyond the life of the project
* Project leadership and management: Depending on the size and complexity of projects, either:
* lead the strategic direction of the project (as Project Lead) and supporting the project team to deliver, or
* lead the day-to-day project management (as Project Manager), working closely with the Project Lead and other project team members to deliver the project.
* Research and analysis: Leading the approach to research and analysis, whilst also supporting the team to conduct the research and analysis where needed.
* Facilitation and consultation: Independently design and facilitate workshops, focus groups, and 1:1 consultations with a range of stakeholders, including Executives.
* Report writing and deliverables: Leading the development of reports and final deliverables to a high standard (before final review), ensuring content (including visual) is communicated with impact and cut through messaging.
* Quality assurance: Provide thorough quality assurance over all deliverables and tasks, including supporting less experienced team members to build their capability and sector and consulting knowledge.
* Financial and data modelling and analysis: Build, interpret and/or oversee the development of models (e.g., 3‑statement, scenario/forecasting, ROI/DCF‑style business cases), translate complex datasets into clear client recommendations, and stress‑test assumptions.
All of this work will be undertaken in close collaboration with other consultants, who will provide the support and coaching to enable you to develop into a high-performing consultant and leader.
* Business development: Identifying and sourcing new clients and project opportunities for Impact Co. by leveraging existing relationships or creating new ones.
* Leadership and capability development: Actively support more junior team members through dedicated investment into capability development, both on projects and through a structured coaching and mentoring approach.
* Internal: Providing assistance to other parts of the business where required, as we continue to grow.
