Allied Health Assistant (Lvl 2/3) - Occupational Therapy - Perm PT
As an Allied Health Assistant within the Occupational Therapy team, you will work under the direction of Occupational Therapists to support the delivery of high-quality care. Your responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of treatment sessions and implementing therapeutic interventions. In addition to clinical support, you will carry out a range of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Allied Health services. A key aspect of this role involves managing the equipment loan pool, which includes cleaning and maintaining equipment, updating databases and computer systems, and providing direct assistance to patients accessing this service.

What You'll Be Doing
To provide a high quality clinical service to clients and their families/carers under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional to optimise health outcomes for the clients of the service. The Allied Health Assistant is also responsible for undertaking designated departmental and administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery.

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or relevant qualification or minimum 12 months full-time equivalent relevant experience with commitment to undertake the Certificate IV in AHA within 12 months.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by supervising Allied Health Professional
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels
- Demonstrated good organisational skills, ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office including management of emails, word processing and database management
- Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
