Agriculture Sector | Northern Suburbs Location
- Permanent Full-Time Position | $160,000 + Super
- Hands-on WHS Management Position | Integral Part of Senior Leadership Team

**The Position**

As the WHS Manager, you will manage the development and implementation of Health Safety Environment management systems and processes and drive a culture of safety that aligns to the organisation's strategies. The role supports the National Manufacturing Manager and works directly with other key stakeholders including Site Managers, the Human Resources team, and has two HSE Coordinator direct reports. You will ensure that leaders at all levels are driving towards delivery of high performing workplace health and safety and a strong HSE culture.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead implementation of the organisation's safety management system framework, supporting execution and compliance at all national facilities;
- Influence Site Managers and Functional Leaders to ensure full implementation of all Safety and Environmental systems and processes;
- Create a behavioural based safety culture that underpins the organisation's safety performance;
- Provide leadership, coaching and technical support sites to continuously reduce workplace injuries and illnesses, incidents and associated costs;
- Evaluate the workplace environment and develop safety-management policies that identify and define the safety responsibilities of all employees;
- Develop policies, procedures and systems that require employees to report situations that present a risk and with which they cannot safety or properly deal with on their own.

**Skills and Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety, or a Diploma level combined with experience, and Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment & Training;
- Experience as in a workplace health and safety leadership position, leading small teams of people to achieve change and results;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing, implementing and monitoring HSE procedures and systems;
- Proven ability to design, implement and deliver HSE training packages to employees and managers;
- Comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of relevant state's Health Safety and Environment legislation;
- Demonstrated experience in incident investigation and reporting in an industrial environment including determination of root cause.
