Job Title: Healthcare Professional - Blood Donation Centre

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals at our blood donation centre. As a registered nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and providing exceptional service to our donors.

Key Responsibilities:
\

1. Interview potential donors to determine their eligibility for blood donation
\
2. Provide clinical oversight and guidance to other staff members during the blood collection process
\
3. Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
\
4. Set up and operate equipment used for blood collection
\
5. Manage adverse donor reactions and provide instruction and physical assistance as needed
\
6. Monitor donors post-donation and assist with scheduling their next appointment
\
7. Care for patients and ensure they are comfortable throughout the donation process
\
8. Foster a positive and welcoming environment for all donors and staff members
\
9. Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organisational goals
\\
10. Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
\\
11. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to donations and donor interactions
\\
12. Report any issues or concerns to management in a timely and professional manner
\ \
Requirements:
\

13. Degree in Nursing (or equivalent)
\
14. Current registration with AHPRA
\
15. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
\
16. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
\
17. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings
\
18. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
\
19. Ability to lift 9-22.7kgs occasionally and stand for long periods
