Lead IRAP Specialist
Location: QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW, SA (Hybrid)
Contract: 12 months + up to 2 × 12‐month extensions
Clearance required: Australian Citizens with Current NV1 clearance
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead IRAP Specialist to independently assess and strengthen the security posture of a federal government organisation. This role is ideal for a contractor with deep expertise in Australian Government security frameworks and hands‐on IRAP assessment experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Define assessment scope, including system boundaries and data classifications (up to SECRET).
* Assess the effectiveness of implemented security controls.
* Review documentation, identify risks, weaknesses, and ISM/PSPF noncompliance.
* Produce IRAP Assessment Reports and Security Control Matrices.
* Provide independent advice on security strategies and risk mitigation.
Essential Experience
* Demonstrated experience completing full IRAP assessments for a federal government agency.
* Strong security experience within complex ICT environments.
* In depth understanding of the PSPF, ISM and related Australian Government security guidance.
* IRAP prerequisite qualifications in ICT and auditing.
