The Role
We are seeking a
Part-Time Accounts Assistant
to support the finance function with day-to-day transactional duties. This role is ideal for someone looking to contribute to a fast-paced construction environment while enjoying the flexibility of part-time hours. You'll be responsible for assisting with accounts payable, invoicing, reconciliations, and general finance administration.
Key Responsibilities
* Process supplier invoices and prepare payment runs
* Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements
* Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
* Support month-end processes and reporting as required
* Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve invoice or payment queries
* Provide general administrative support to the finance team
About You
* Previous experience in a finance support role
* Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar)
* Prior experience in the construction industry is desirable but not essential
