NTS Transport Engineering – Vehicle Body Building is a Perth‐based workshop specialising in the design, build, and maintenance of transport equipment and trailers. Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking experienced Vehicle Body Builders to join our team immediately.
We're looking for motivated, hands‐on tradespeople who take pride in building high‐quality Australian‐made products. If you enjoy working on a variety of equipment, thrive in a fast‐paced environment, and want to be part of a supportive team, this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble and build trailers and other transport equipment to NTS high standards
* Fit components including axles, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and other trailer‐specific parts
* Read and interpret drawings and assembly instructions to ensure accuracy and efficiency
* Conduct inspections to identify and correct defects, ensuring all equipment meets quality and safety standards
* Troubleshoot mechanical issues during assembly and provide effective solutions
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, including parts used and hours worked
* Use, maintain, and store tools and equipment safely, reporting any issues promptly
* Work in accordance with WHS requirements and company procedures
About You
* Minimum 2 years' experience in vehicle body building or similar trade
* Strong understanding of heavy‐duty vehicles and trailer assembly
* Experience in commercial transport or heavy vehicle fabrication
* Reliable, motivated, and a team player
* Forklift licence an advantage (or willingness to obtain one)
* Experience with trucks and trailers highly desirable
