About the Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager, our Maintenance Officer is responsible for delivering general maintenance and repairs of buildings, fixtures and fittings, homes and associated structures in accordance with the Home Maintenance Plan to provide a pleasant and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
* Manage and undertake inspection and delivery of statutory, preventative and corrective maintenance of the facility
* Provide supervision and coordination of site contractors
* Ensure an aesthetic, compliant and safe working environment
* Maintain property including cleaning, painting, lighting maintenance, TV installations, hanging paintings, disposal of rubbish, checking and maintaining air conditioning, tiling, basic plumbing, furniture removal and general repairs
* Execute planned maintenance of Home assets in accordance with the Maintenance Plan and legislative requirements
* Ensure all maintenance activity complies with relevant legislation
* Use preferred suppliers where relevant and ensure all works are within budget and follow workflow procedures
* Carry out scheduled tasks within agreed timelines
Qualifications
* Hands‐on experience of building maintenance work and procedures
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
* Experience in contractor management
* Experience in managing site maintenance budgets, work orders and requisitions
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment
* Knowledge and application of relevant legislation, codes and standards
* Pre‐employment medical assessment required
* Prior to commencement – complete a National Police Check and/or NDIS Workers Check or demonstrate willingness to obtain

Holly Aged Care is conveniently located close to the southern end of the Southern Expressway, with the Onkaparinga River National Park nearby. Our home is situated on a bus route to Colonnades Shopping Centre, less than five kilometres away.
