About the position
In terms of food, Wests New Lambton is home to multiple dining options. With a selection of restaurants, as well as the Wests Food Court offering traditional Club food offerings and modern options including The Grill and New Beijing to cater for all. Our busy food court now has an opportunity for a casual Chef to join the team.
Responsible for the preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items across our food outlets and restaurants. Duties will include :
Ensure prep sheets are completed
Preparation of high quality food during service
Assist other sections when required
Cleaning of work areas
A ssist with the set-up and close down of service
Ensure food is stored to hygiene standards
Ensure appropriate disposal of waste
This position will require availability for split shifts for breakfast, lunch and dinner service. As part of The Wests Group recruitment and assessment process, all candidates progressing to the next stage will be required to complete relevant due diligence and probity checks specific to the role. This includes, but is not limited to, a Criminal History Check, reference checks, and right to work verification via our company portal. About you
We are seeking an energetic team player with a passion for food and good service. You pride yourself on presentation & consistency. Experience in fast paced kitchen, strong cooking skills with trade qualifications, will be highly desirable. You will be available to work nights, weekends and be flexible to assist with all catering operations across the site.
