The Legal & Contracts Specialist will be involved in the full-life cycle of contract management including drafting and negotiation, approval, execution, renewal, or termination, including SOWs, preparing amendments, and generating contract status reports.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain template agreements, proofread documents, and edit and draft contracts and amendments
- Review, draft, edit, and coordinate briefings, correspondence, reports, and documentation
- Work closely with General Counsel and, at times the Company Secretary, on complex legal and compliance issues and assist with resolution
- Coordinate with internal staff regarding contract terms and assist in audits of contracts
- Maintain the systems for tracking, filing, and managing contracts
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes and drive implementation through multi-department collaboration and coordination
- Obtain all necessary and appropriate internal approvals for contract terms
- Support the broader legal group in conducting contract management trainings for the business
- Effectively communicate and respond to inquiries regarding contract terms and obligations
- Complete projects independently as well as by assigning work to clerical staff; following up on results and ensuring accountability

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a legal setting providing support required
- Experience with legal research highly preferred
- Experience in drafting legal and business documents required
- Experience working in an organisation with numerous locations
- Experience in contract management
- Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position required, including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Demonstrate the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
- Possess strong time and task management and process improvement abilities
- Dynamic and excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and reading comprehension skills
- Self
- starter with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
