Kohli's Group Pty Ltd T/A Kohli's Indian Restaurant is looking for a full time Chef for our restaurant located in Nowra NSW 2541 on a full-time basis with a salary between $75, $80,000.00 per annum plus superannuation.
You will be required to do the following duties:
* Plan and Organize the preparation of food as per the Menu on a day to day basis.
* Set up workstations with all the needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
* Prioritise menus, recipes, and task sheets.
* Prepare and use specialised kitchen equipment for use.
* Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
* Organise the supplies of the restaurant including groceries, Diary and vegetables.
* Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen.
* Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
* Preparation and cooking of all curry and tandoori and today specials menu items as per proper recipes.
* Preparing and cooking tailor made menus for special orders like birthday, engagement etc parties.
* Ensures high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout kitchen area.
* Work cooperatively with other members of the kitchen team
* Stock rotation, food safety & minimising wastage
* Will need Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
To be considered for this role you should:
* Require Cert IV in Cookery or above.
* Good knowledge of Indian Curry & Tandoori cuisine and species is required.
* Available on weekends and be able to work split shifts.
* Have a passion for food and enjoy working in a busy fast paced kitchen environment.
* Have at least 2 years of work experience as a Chef
* Ability to work in a team.
* Very good communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and have attention to detail.
* Have Australian work rights.
