Job Title
A Health and Wellness Specialist will ensure the health of our workers through delivering health services, health promotion, proactive injury management, monitoring occupational health functions, and supporting occupational hygiene programs.
* Provide emergency and non-emergency assistance and healthcare to site workers.
* Assist in managing site processes for health emergency preparedness.
* Provide relevant healthcare training and coaching as required.
* Manage emergency health facilities and assets onsite.
* Support projects with the Health and Safety Department as directed.
The successful candidate will demonstrate application of Northern Star's STARR Core Values, sound reasoning, and problem-solving skills within their scope of practice in occupational health.
Requirements
* Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification.
* Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Current manual C Class Western Australian Driver's Licence.
* Experience working in a similar environment (mining industry), including hearing and respiratory fit testing, workers' compensation, and injury management.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all occupational health tasks.
