Overview
We are seeking applications for a Registered Nurse to join our Orthopaedic ward on a permanent full-time basis. Our ward comprises 30 beds, supported by a multidisciplinary team that specialises in predominantly orthopaedic cases (some paediatric), ENT and pain management.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and provide supervision for Graduate Registered Nurses, Nursing Affiliates and Nurse Students to ensure planned nursing interventions are appropriate and implemented.
The Position
* Interview and examine the patient, documenting the assessment findings.
* While promoting an environment of confidence, confidentiality and respect, identify through discussion with the patient, family and relevant others, actual and potential problems.
* Assess and document the anticipated needs of the patient and family during and following hospitalisation.
* Routinely monitor the results of diagnostic procedures and investigations.
* Assist in the assessing of complicated nursing problems guiding Graduate Nurses, Nursing Affiliates and Nursing Students as needed.
* Document the planned nursing care and ensure the care plan remains current.
Successful applicants will be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority as a Registered Nurse. You will have demonstrated clinical knowledge, effective communication and documentation skills, ability to work flexibly within a team and able to prioritise workloads. * Salary (New EBA increase from October 1st): $81,995 to $103,482 plus 12% Superannuation
* Permanent full-time | working 38 hours per week
