About the Role
As a Home Care Assistant, you will deliver individualised, in-home support to clients, enabling them to remain living independently in their own homes while maintaining their quality of life.
Your responsibilities may include:
* Supporting personal hygiene and daily living activities
* Preparing meals
* Performing light household cleaning
* Assisting with transportation and appointments
* Monitoring and reporting changes in a client's condition
* Supporting health, wellbeing, and social engagement
All care is delivered in a personalised, respectful, and caring manner, aligned with client care plans, Respect policies, and best practice standards.
Role Specific Details
* Availability: Minimum 3 days per week
* Hours: Between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
* Location: Hamilton and surrounding areas
* Travel Required: Must be able to travel within approximately a 40 km radius, including towns such as Cavendish, Coleraine, and Dunkeld

* The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Respect for all people, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Confidence using electronic devices and applications (training provided)
* A flexible and reliable approach to work
Essential Requirements
* COVID-19 vaccination (mandatory for Home Care)
* Current CPR and First Aid certification
* Full driver's licence and reliable, suitable vehicle
* Ability to transport clients
* Availability Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work
* Ability to work later shifts when required (up to 8:00 p.m.)
Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing, or similar is desirable but not essential.
