Service Improvement Professional

We are seeking a skilled Service Improvement Professional to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing experiences for students, staff, and academics across the institution.

Your primary responsibility will be to support continuous improvement initiatives, applying a blend of methodologies to address complex challenges and opportunities. You will work closely with diverse university stakeholders to promote the value of service improvement approaches, frame complex problems, gather data, and implement systematic improvements across university processes.

To achieve this, you will lead methodology leadership, stakeholder engagement, problem solving, workshop facilitation, and sustainable outcomes. You will also provide support for the delivery of lasting improvements aligned with the university's commitment to excellence.

We are looking for a passionate continuous improvement professional with practical experience in service and process enhancement. You will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders in a complex organisational environment.

You will hold qualifications in Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or related fields. A tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, or Systems Thinking is desirable. You will demonstrate solid understanding of service improvement methodologies and their application, as well as experience in framing problems, analysing data, and implementing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead methodology leadership: apply and advocate for service improvement methods, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Business Process Management.
* Stakeholder engagement: work with diverse university stakeholders to promote the value of service improvement approaches.
* Problem solving: frame complex problems, gather data, and implement systematic improvements across university processes.
* Workshop facilitation: design and support delivery of engaging workshops for skills training, education, and coaching in improvement methodologies.
* Sustainable outcomes: support the delivery of lasting improvements aligned with the university's commitment to excellence.


Requirements

* Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders in a complex organisational environment.
* Hold qualifications in Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or related fields.
* Demonstrate solid understanding of service improvement methodologies and their application.
* Show experience in framing problems, analysing data, and implementing process improvements.
* Possess strong interpersonal skills for building relationships across a complex organisation.
* Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including presentation skills.
* Demonstrate a growth mindset with empathy, curiosity, and resilience.
* Have experience in higher education or similarly complex environments (desirable).
* Be willing to occasionally work outside regular hours as needed.
* Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check.
