This full-time HR Officer position, reporting into the Head of Human Resources, is part of a wider local HR team and is responsible for end‐to‐end generalist HR support. This role is based at our Corio office.

The HR Officer duties will include but are not limited to:
* Support end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, screening and interviewing candidates
* Co‐ordinate onboarding of new hires, including contracts, inductions and system set‐ups
* Act as the first point of contact for HR queries and provide accurate and timely advice on ER/IR matters
* Understanding and interpreting our EBA, Awards and other IR instruments
* Providing guidance and assistance on employee and industrial relations matters such as performance management, disciplinary procedures, resolution of disputes, conflicts and other situations between staff, unions and management
* Maintain accurate employee records and manage data in the HR system
* Prepare contracts, variation letters and other employee documentation
* Support HR projects and initiatives
To be considered for this role you must demonstrate:
* A qualification in Human Resource or similar
* The ability to take a pragmatic approach and exercise good judgement
* Strong influencing and collaboration skills with the ability to develop good relationships with stakeholders at all levels
* Strong organisational and time management skills, ensuring competing priorities are managed and the right level of attention to detail is maintained
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Desire to operate in an energetic, fast‐paced blue‐collar environment
