Tobwabba Aboriginal Medical Service (TAMS) is seeking a clinically qualified, values-driven leader to take on the pivotal role of General Manager – Clinic & Clinical Governance.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse, Allied Health professional or similar clinician who has moved into leadership — or is ready to — and wants to shape the future of Aboriginal primary health care.
What you'll be responsible for
Leading day-to-day clinic operations, workflow, rostering and service delivery
Driving strong clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management
Overseeing accreditation (AGPAL), infection control and compliance with national standards
Leading and mentoring senior clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
Managing clinic budgets, Medicare claiming and operational performance
Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and retention
Building strong relationships with community, stakeholders and partners
Chairing or contributing to Clinical Governance forums and reporting to the CEO and Board
About you
You're a clinically trained leader who brings both credibility and calm to complex environments.
You will likely have:
* A clinical qualification (Registered Nurse, Allied Health or equivalent)
* Significant experience in clinic management, clinical governance or senior health leadership
* Strong understanding of Aboriginal primary health care and culturally safe practice
* Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex service environments
* Knowledge of Medicare claiming, accreditation and quality systems
* A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to make decisions
* High ethical standards, excellent communication skills and strong judgement
