We are seeking a skilled and passionate professional to join our team as a Child Care Group Leader/Lead Educator or Room Assistant Educator.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and care, with a Cert 3, Diploma or higher qualification. They will also have a minimum of one year of experience in a relevant field, along with current certifications in First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection Training.
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and preparing engaging learning activities and programs that cater to the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. They will also be expected to support the implementation of daily routines, ensure children's individual needs are met, and observe and reflect on their progress to adjust activities accordingly.
The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with families, caregivers, and colleagues to understand the children's needs, interests, motivations, and so on.
The successful candidate will be able to lead and train Child Care Workers to maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for all children. They will also be responsible for performing first aid and comfort when necessary, and completing associated documentation professionally and timely.
In addition to these responsibilities, the successful applicant will be expected to promote children's learning by actively engaging them in age-appropriate experiences and activities, such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts. They will also contribute to team meetings and collaborate on educational programs, assisting with documentation and daily administration tasks.
