McCorry Brown Earthmoving is a leading civil construction and earthmoving company servicing Broome and the wider Kimberley region. With a strong reputation built on capability, reliability, and local knowledge, we are expanding our operations and seeking a motivated Civil Estimator / Project Administrator to join our team.
This dual role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical side of estimating as well as the fast‑paced, hands‑on coordination required to support project delivery and procurement.
About the Role
Reporting to the Business Manager and Project Management team, you will play a key role in the successful tendering, mobilisation, and delivery of civil projects. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating project documentation, and procuring materials and equipment post‑award—ensuring all purchasing aligns with approved budgets and the tender allowances.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate and competitive civil construction estimates.
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
* Source and quality evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
* Preparation of tender submissions and pricing schedules.
Project Administration
* Support project managers with documentation, scheduling and reporting.
* Maintain registers, project files, correspondence and site documentation.
* Assist with mobilisation tasks, onboarding, HSE requirements and procurement set‑up.
Procurement & Cost Control
* Procure materials, parts, equipment and subcontracted services post‑award.
* Ensure all procurement aligns with tender allowances and approved budgets.
* Manage purchase orders, lead times, delivery coordination and supplier communication.
* Track costs and assist with monthly reporting, progress claims and variation documentation.
Skills & Attributes
* Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
* Ability to interpret civil drawings and specifications.
* Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.
* Strong commercial awareness and supplier negotiation capability.
* Effective time management and ability to handle competing priorities.
* A collaborative team player with a positive, solutions‑focused attitude.
Qualifications & Experience
* 3–5 years' experience in civil estimating, project administration, procurement or similar.
* Background in civil construction, earthworks or mining is highly regarded.
* Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office Suite.
* Understanding of WHS and civil construction standards.
