* Base Salary: $98,59216 - $115,679.34 per annum
* Additional salary packaging: $15,899.94p/a

About Us

Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (Anyinginyi Health) is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region, dedicated to 'Closing the Gap' in Aboriginal health within remote Australia.

It is made up of four sections – Health Services, Corporate Services, Public Health Unit and Piliyintinji‐Ki Stronger Families – enabling a holistic approach to health, ensuring clients' physical and emotional well-being is given priority.

Our mission is to be a provider of high-quality holistic primary health care services featuring prevention and treatment in the Barkly region in a culturally responsive way.

What We Offer
* Salary packaging up to $15,899.94 pa
* Subsidised accommodation for candidates outside the Barkly region
* Up to $5,000 relocation assistance and $5,000 repatriation assistance
* 6 weeks annual leave, 10 days personal/carer's leave per year
* Up to $1,500 study allowance after 1 year of service
* Study leave negotiable
* Remote retention allowance of $1,500 after 1 year, $3,000 after 2 years
* Annual remote travel allowance of $1,500 for personal travel after 1 year

About the Tennant Creek Region

About the Role

The role is a full-time Team Leader – Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) within the Kalpa Purru Wirranjarlki – Public Health Services Section.

Primary Objective

The aim of the TIS program is to contribute to closing the gap in Indigenous health outcomes by reducing tobacco smoking, the most significant risk factor for chronic disease among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Demonstrate skills transfer to Aboriginal staff employed in the same work area as the contracted employee.
* Lead development, coordination and facilitation of positive engagement, interventions and activities in accordance with the TIS program guidelines and organisational policies.
* Lead development of sustainable and respectful networks in Aboriginal communities within the Barkly Region to build community support for smoking prevention and cessation.
* Provide support, leadership and management to the TIS program team – clearly defining roles, open communication and ongoing performance monitoring.
* In liaison with Aboriginal communities in the Barkly Region and the National Best Practice Unit (NBPU) identify, develop and assist in delivery of responsive smoking prevention and cessation social marketing campaigns.

Essential Skills And Experience
* Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualifications or experience sufficient to perform key responsibilities of TIS Team Leader.
* Evidence of understanding the Primary Health Care system and key issues related to closing the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
* Possession or ability to obtain an Ochre Card (Working with Children).
* Preference for full COVID‐19 vaccination.
