Job Title: Team Leader – Culture

Mornington Peninsula Shire is Victoria's premier destination municipality, celebrated for its vibrant townships, thriving agriculture, world-class landscapes, iconic tourist regions, and internationally significant conservation areas within a vital Green Wedge.

These services encompass infrastructure, community wellbeing, environmental stewardship, and cultural initiatives, all supporting prosperity and liveability across the region.

Home to one of Australia's most dynamic tourism industries, the Mornington Peninsula attracts over 8 million visitors each year, generates $9.5 billion in economic output and sustains more than 62,000 jobs, underpinning its role as a cornerstone of Victoria's visitor economy.


Responsibilities

* Reporting to the Manager - People and Culture, the Team Leader - Culture and Talent Management will shape and deliver Councils people agenda.
* Lead initiatives that strengthen organisational culture, build leadership capability, and support workforce engagement across a diverse and dynamic organisation.
* Oversee talent management, succession planning, leadership programs and employee experience initiatives, partnering with leaders across Council to design and embed strategies that drive performance, inclusion and innovation.
* Support organisational transformation to ensure staff are engaged, supported, and aligned to Councils vision and values.


Key Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will bring strong experience in culture and talent management, with a track record of delivering programs that improve workforce capability and engagement.

You will demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to collaborate across a complex organisation, and the confidence to provide expert advice to leaders at all levels.

With strong communication and influencing skills, you will inspire and coach your team to deliver high-quality outcomes, while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and customer focus.
