About the role
As the Senior Program Controller, you will sit at the centre of how Unitywater plans, governs, and delivers its capital program across Southeast Queensland. You will operate as a program‐level advisor, translating complex cost and schedule data into clear, actionable insights that inform decision‐making at senior leadership level. Working within a collaborative capital delivery model, you will provide end‐to‐end line of sight across the program, enabling proactive intervention, improving performance, and strengthening confidence in delivery. You will be accountable for program‐level planning and controls that ensure predictable, transparent delivery of infrastructure outcomes within budget, scope and schedule.
What You Will Be Doing
* Partner with project managers and delivery teams to ensure alignment between planning, execution, and reporting.
* Lead program‐level performance insight, delivering monthly reporting that goes beyond status to clearly articulate trends, risks, and forward‐looking outcomes.
* Provide early warning of major divergences from expected results based on reporting metrics including mitigation strategies.
* Own and continuously enhance the Primavera P6 master schedule, integrating partner schedules and ensuring alignment to program objectives.
* Translate complex data into clear narratives, enabling senior leaders to make informed, timely decisions.
About you
You bring a systems‐thinking mindset and the ability to operate at both detail and program level, connecting data to delivery outcomes. You are comfortable influencing without authority and can challenge constructively, ensuring the program remains on track. Aligned to Unitywater's One Unitywater behaviours – Create the Future, Care Together, Own It – you demonstrate:
* Ownership of outcomes, not just outputs
* Collaboration across organisational and partner boundaries
* Curiosity and forward‐thinking in how programs are delivered

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or related discipline
* Current C Class Driver's Licence
What will set you apart
* Experience within utilities, water, or large‐scale infrastructure programs
* Background working on the partner side (planner or project controller)
