About the Role
This role is for a professional chef who is passionate about making a real difference in teenager's lives by helping to transform secondary school food. We are looking for a chef who can use their knowledge and experience to assist a secondary school canteen team make and sell delicious, healthy and nutritious vegetable items that the students will love. This is part of a research project examining how to increase vegetable consumption in adolescents via Australian secondary school canteens.
To Be Successful, you'll have:
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* A minimum of Cert. III in Commercial Cookery
* Experience of using seasonal vegetables to create delicious, appealing, appetising and affordable menu options
* Fast-paced food service environment experience
* Working with Children Check
* Team leadership and mentoring
* Collaborative approach and diplomacy
* Multi-tasking and forward menu planning
* Food safety and hygiene compliance
* School or adolescent catering experience
* Knowledge of the Victoria Government Canteen Policy
