Summary
Amazon is a highly data driven company highly passionate about its customers. In this context it is vital to ensure the customers always get their orders on time and with quality. The processes at the FCs are largely manual involving large numbers of associates. One of the most critical roles is that of a Team Leader who acts a mentor/guide to the associates towards ensuring meeting the customer expectation by following our standard work practice keeping safety & quality in mind. In this role you will be responsible for driving up the sortation & line haul infrastructure in the region which includes identifying the new routes.

Daily Management of shiftAdministrative management of associatesJob allocation to associatesMonitoring and mentoring of associates on productivity, quality and safety.Analysis of the data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve the performanceMonitor status of problem solve queuesResponsible for shift quality and associated action plansPreparing and implementing training and development plans for associatesConduct a 4M and 5S audit for the respective work stations on a daily basisImplement the formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as KaizenEssential Skills Defining the transportation process from FC to FC/RSCEnsure enough bandwidth in sortation team to ensure peak time delivery managementContinuously improve the through put and attain a sustained level of delivery performance improvementStand-in for Area Manager
Basic Qualifications
High school or equivalent Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
