Transport Coordinator Role
The role of Transport Coordinator involves leading a team to coordinate strategic planning and advocacy for integrated transport. This includes representing the council's interests on the North East Link project.
This is a unique opportunity to drive strategic transport priorities, including the NorthEast Link. You will engage, advocate and liaise with stakeholders to ensure transport objectives are archived in line with the council's Transport Action Plan 2021.
* Be part of the planning and delivery of the council's highest profile infrastructure projects
* Utilize your transport infrastructure, planning and project management skills
* Lead a dynamic team of transport planners, engineers and project specialists
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate a team of professionals including the Strategic Transport Planner and three Project Officers
* Represent the council's interests on the North East Link project
* Deliver strategic planning and advocacy for integrated transport
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Planning or Project Management (in Infrastructure)
* Highly experienced in assessing large scale, complex transport infrastructure related projects
* Experienced people leader who can also manage a complex portfolio with competing demands
* Able to engage and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
* Flexible, agile and able to respond to changing priorities, to complete tasks within tight timeframes and solve problems on the go
