Join Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Australia's leading independent law firm.
It is an exciting time to join our growing Finance team. We are inviting Expressions of Interest from motivated, detail-oriented early‐career professionals interested in casual junior Finance Administrator opportunities. If you enjoy working with numbers, improving processes, and supporting a high-performing finance team, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Opportunities
As a Junior Finance Administrator, you will provide day-to-day support across core finance operations. You will work closely with colleagues in accounting, operations, and procurement to ensure accurate records, timely processing, and excellent stakeholder service. This EOI helps us build a pipeline for upcoming roles across multiple teams; specific duties and scope may vary by position.
What You\'ll do
You will contribute to transactional processing, record keeping, and reporting, including activities such as processing vendor invoices and employee expenses; preparing payment runs for review; assisting with accounts receivable, cash application, and collections follow‐ups; maintaining accurate vendor and customer master data; reconciling bank transactions and balance sheet accounts under supervision; supporting month‐end close tasks such as journal entry preparation, accruals, and variance checks; monitoring shared finance inboxes and resolving routine queries; updating logs, trackers, and filing systems to ensure audit-ready documentation; assisting with purchase order creation, receipting, and three‐way matches; helping compile data for management reports and dashboards; and supporting process improvements, control checks, and policy compliance.
Who we\'re looking for
You bring a foundation in finance or accounting, with either tertiary study (e.g., business, commerce, or accounting) or equivalent experience in a transactional finance environment. You are proficient with spreadsheets and comfortable learning ERP or accounting systems. You demonstrate strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and time management. You communicate clearly, maintain confidentiality, and take ownership of delivering quality work. A proactive, team‐oriented mindset and willingness to learn are essential.
At Corrs, we help you achieve your ambition - at every stage of your career.
