Following exciting growth plans, we currently have a Powder Coater / Trades Assistant position available to join our team in Carole Park.
About The Role
As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for preparing and coating metal components to a high standard, while also supporting broader factory and warehouse operations as required. While powder coating will be your core responsibility, you'll also assist with assembly, warehouse tasks and occasional local deliveries, making this a diverse role.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating (cleaning, sanding, masking).
* Hang and unhang components for the coating process.
* Apply powder coating and monitor curing and finish quality.
* Inspect completed work and complete touch-ups where required.
* Assist with assembly of metalwork kits and components.
* Load, wrap and prepare products for dispatch.
* Support general fabrication and warehouse operations as needed.
* Assist with stock movement and housekeeping tasks.
* Complete occasional local deliveries and operational support tasks.
* Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe and organised manner.
* Follow safety procedures and work collaboratively with the team.
About You
You're reliable, hands-on and take pride in producing quality work. You're comfortable working in a fabrication environment and willing to support other areas of the business when needed.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
* Proven experience in powder coating or a similar coating/finishing role (essential)
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
* Experience in fabrication, manufacturing or warehouse operations (beneficial)
* Experience with assembly or production work
* Forklift licence or willingness to obtain
* Trade or technical background

Hours of Work
* 5:30am – 2:45pm Monday to Thursday
* 5:30am – 11:30am Friday
* Every second Friday off (long weekend)
Remuneration will be negotiated based on experience.
