Are you an experienced Estimator, or currently working in demolition, construction, or remediation and ready for your next step?
ABOUT THE ROLE
Aztech is seeking a Project (Cost & Pricing) Estimator to support the growth of our HAZMAT remediation and demolition-style projects.
This role is ideal for someone who understands how projects are actually delivered — whether that experience has come from estimating, site leadership, or hands-on project delivery - and wants to play a key role in how work is priced, planned, and won.
This is a genuine opportunity to transition off the tools into a commercially focused, office/site-based role, with training and support provided to build formal estimating capability where required.
You'll work closely with Project Delivery, Business Operations, and HSEQ, ensuring all estimates are realistic, compliant, and aligned to how work is safely delivered in the field.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for HAZMAT remediation and associated projects
* Interpret drawings, scopes of work, specifications, and site conditions to define project requirements, risks, and allowances
* Build competitive and deliverable pricing including labour, equipment, PPE, subcontractors, and compliance costs
* Identify and clearly document project assumptions, risks, exclusions, and contingencies
* Collaborate closely with Project Delivery, Operations, and HSEQ to ensure estimates reflect site realities and safety requirements
* Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating tools, templates, and pricing models
ABOUT YOU
This role may suit candidates from one of two backgrounds:
Estimating / Commercial Background
* Experience preparing estimates, tenders, or project costings in construction, remediation, or similar project-based environments
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
* Proficient in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
* Commercially minded, balancing competitiveness with profitability
OR
Construction / Demolition / Site-Based Background
* Experience working in demolition, construction, remediation, or similar site-based roles (e.g. supervisor, leading hand, senior operator, site coordinator)
* Strong understanding of how projects are delivered on site, including labour, equipment, sequencing, and safety requirements
* Exposure to reading plans, scopes, quantities, or job cost information
* Looking to move off the tools into an office or hybrid role, influencing how projects are planned and priced
MUST HAVES
* A confident communicator able to work with clients and internal teams
* Organised, practical, and solutions-focused
* Committed to safety, quality, and compliance in high-risk environments
Training, systems onboarding, and mentoring will be provided to support your transition into the estimating function where required.
