THE ROLE
- Interpret electrical drawings, specifications and project documentation to develop accurate cost estimates
- Assess technical, commercial and contractual requirement of tenders
- Tender evaluation and Bid Management
- Compile accurate material quantity take-offs to develop bills of quantities
- Assist with preparing and developing construction methodologies, programs and submission documentation
- Review supplier/vendor quotations for accuracy, scope alignment and compliance
- Understand the clients' needs by asking specific and relevant questions
- Develop estimates from first principles using site productivity rates
- Prepare risk and opportunity including cost escalation analysis for estimates
- Review designs and engineering specifications for cost effectiveness and suggest alternatives where applicable
- Seek additional information or clarification through RFI’s to the Client to ensure a complete set of tender documents
ABOUT YOU
- Extensive experience in completing high-quality Construction and Design/Construction (D+C) estimates and proposals for electrical systems
- Have an understanding of Australian Standards and their relation to Industrial Electrical Systems
- Interpersonal skills, confidence, professionalism and self-motivation
- Financial and commercial acumen
- High level attention to detail and the ability to work to set timeframes while multitasking
Qualifications and Requirements
- Tertiary Engineering qualification in relevant discipline
- White card
- Police Clearance
- Driver’s Licence
