About the Role
We are seeking experienced civil and road maintenance skilled labourers, including Road workers, TMA Operator, and Truck Drivers to support ongoing infrastructure projects based out of Goulburn. You will contribute to maintaining road safety standards while assisting with on-ground infrastructure works, combining hands-on labour with specialised vehicle operation. The role is suited to candidates who enjoy varied responsibilities, working outdoors, and being part of a safety-focused crew environment delivering essential public infrastructure outcomes.
* Position: Road Worker / TMA Operator – $45.74 - $49.26/hour + super
* Location: Goulburn
* Working Arrangement: Depot-based with occasional travel/camping (when camping away LAFHA + OT rates + accommodation provided)
* Start Date: ASAP
* Duration: Until 30/06/2026 (extension likely)
* Work Pattern: 9 day fortnight, 76 hours per fortnight
Key Responsibilities Road Worker
* Carry out routine road maintenance including debris removal and minor pavement repairs
* Install and maintain signage and traffic control equipment
* Perform manual labour using hand and power tools
* Assist in maintaining safe work zones for motorists and crew
* Support general site operations under direction of the Team Leader
* Contribute to hazard identification and site safety compliance
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas
TMA Operator
* Operate TMA-equipped heavy vehicles in line with approved traffic management plans
* Position vehicles to provide protection for roadside crews and road users
* Conduct daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
* Assist with traffic control setup including lane closures and signage
* Ensure compliance with transport regulations and safety procedures
* Work closely with traffic controllers and site teams to coordinate safe operations
* Support mobilisation and demobilisation of traffic management setups
About You Road Worker Requirements
* Experience in road maintenance, civil construction, or general labouring roles
* Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments
* Familiarity with tools, machinery, and site-based equipment
* Basic understanding of road safety and hazard management practices
* Valid White Card and Work on Foot (WOF) accreditation
* Traffic Controller (TC) ticket or willingness to obtain
* Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
TMA Operator Requirements
* Experience operating heavy vehicles, ideally within road or civil environments
* Valid heavy vehicle licence (HR or above preferred)
* TMA accreditation highly desirable or willingness to obtain
* Understanding of traffic management plans and live traffic environments
* Ability to perform vehicle checks and maintain operational readiness
* Strong awareness of safety protocols and compliance requirements
General Requirements
* Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
* Current National Police Check (or willingness to undergo prior to commencement)
* Full working rights in Australia – Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid long-term working visa (sponsorship unavailable)
