The Role
As the Control Room Technical Service Lead, you will oversee the smooth operation of assets under management, ensuring maximum uptime and swift resolution of technical issues. You will lead the service operations in line with SLA commitments, provide asset management reliability leadership with hands-on technical support, coordinate plan and schedule with incident triage, and implement operational standards. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and customer-first service delivery.
You will be at the forefront of diagnosing and resolving technical challenges across EV assets, while mentoring team members, collaborating with OEMs, and driving continuous improvements. Key Responsibilities
* Lead Operational Asset Management across a large EV fleet and energy portfolio.
* Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and remote support to resolve incidents efficiently.
* Manage preventative and breakdown maintenance planning and execution.
* Ensure SLA objectives are met, reporting performance and asset health to leadership.
* Maintain accurate asset records (inventory, warranties, deployment data).
* Deliver root-cause analysis, technical support, and reliability functions.
* Collaborate with internal teams, OEMs, and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
* Contribute to the creation of knowledge resources (guides, FAQs, troubleshooting).
* Supervise technical staff and contractors, promoting a culture of excellence, safety, and accountability.
* Ensure compliance with HSE, legislative, and quality standards.
* Support contractual negotiations and budget management.
What We're Looking For
* Qualifications in electrical trade/engineering or similar (highly desirable).
* 2+ years' experience in a technical operational environment (energy, renewables, engineering, or mining).
* Strong knowledge of asset management, reliability engineering, planning, and scheduling.
* Proven troubleshooting skills (hardware, firmware, connectivity, configuration).
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
* Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
* Experience managing technical staff, contractors, and budgets.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, maintenance management systems, and operating software.
