We are seeking two suitably experienced and qualified Substation Electrical Site Engineers to join our team on a short-term tenure in Brisbane, with a transition to site thereafter.
Location
- Short tenure based in Brisbane
- Transition to site-based work following initial project phase
- Candidates based in Adelaide or Melbourne are strongly encouraged to apply, as travel arrangements to site are fully workable
- Brisbane-based applicants also highly suitable
About the Role
As an Electrical Site Engineer, you will:
- Provide engineering and technical support to site operations
- Oversee electrical installation, commissioning, and compliance activities
- Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of PV and BESS projects.
- Work closely with project and construction teams to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence
- Utilise engineering software tools (such as ETAP, AutoCAD, etc.) to develop drawings, models, and studies supporting design works.
- Identify and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively
- Support reporting, documentation, and client communication requirements
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Substation/Switchyard/BESS experience is a must
- Demonstrated site-based engineering experience in construction, mining, or power infrastructure projects
- Exposure to Power Conversion System (PCS) within a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
- Strong understanding of electrical design, installation standards, and commissioning processes
- A commitment to secure work practices and high-quality outcomes
- Ability to work autonomously and within a project team
- Flexibility to transition from office-based work to site rosters
