The Role
As a Mobile Service Technician, you'll provide on-site service and repair of hydraulic and industrial hoses, fittings, and related components from a fully equipped mobile service unit.
You will also perform fire suppression system installation, maintenance, and inspection on mobile plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and operational standards.
This is a full-time position, based at Pirtek Emerald, with opportunities to work across local and regional mine sites.
Key responsibilities include:
· Performing on-site service, assembly, and installation of hydraulic hoses and fittings
· Installing, maintaining, and inspecting fire suppression systems on heavy mobile equipment
· Operating and maintaining a mobile service vehicle in a safe and professional manner
· Providing quality customer service and technical advice on Pirtek products and systems
· Completing accurate service documentation using digital tools
· Upholding company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards at all times
· Participating in a rotating on-call roster for after-hours service

You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· Previous experience in mechanical, fitting, hydraulics, or fire suppression systems
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· The ability to work independently and safely in a field-based environment
· A current manual driver's licence (Light or Medium Rigid preferred or willingness to obtain)
· Reliability, attention to detail, and pride in your work
Preferred but not essential:
· Previous mine site or heavy industry experience
· Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical (or ability to obtain – required for site access)
· Fire suppression training, trade qualification, or hydraulic hose assembly competency
