The Maitland Hospital, Acute Inpatient Services, delivers comprehensive care to adult patients across a range of specialties, including Surgical, Medical, Oncology, and Orthopaedic services. The hospital is equipped to provide high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals with complex health needs, offering both emergency and planned inpatient services.

The nursing team at Maitland Hospital plays a vital role as members of a specialised multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with a diverse group of professionals including allied health professionals, administrative staff, and medical specialists, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

About the Opportunity:

Maitland Hospital's Operating Theatre comprises six fully equipped theatres and a dedicated scope theatre, delivering a broad range of surgical services including General Surgery, Endoscopy, ENT, Paediatrics, Urology, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, and both elective and trauma Orthopaedics. The unit operates seven days a week, providing 24/7 emergency theatre access to support the needs of our growing community.

We are currently seeking skilled and motivated professionals with demonstrated experience in the following specialties:

* Anaesthetics – Prior experience is essential

* Scrub/Scout – Previous experience is essential, with a strong focus on Orthopaedics


Requirements:
Our successful candidate will possess the following:

* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
* Post-graduate clinical experience in operating theatre/procedural unit nursing in an acute hospital setting.
