L'épi Artisan Bakery is an independent, quality-driven bakery based in Hume ACT. While we're well known for our sourdough, our pastry and pie range has become a defining part of who we are. We're now looking for a skilled pastry chef who is passionate about their craft and excited to contribute to a team that values creativity and genuine care for what we make.
About the Role
You will play a central role in producing our full pastry and pie selection—from laminated pastries and tarts to savoury pies, seasonal items, and new creations. This position involves hands-on production: laminating, mixing, shaping, baking, finishing, and ensuring everything meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Producing laminated pastries (croissants, pain au chocolat, danishes, specialty items)
* Preparing tarts, pies, slices, and other sweet/savoury pastries
* Managing butter temperature, dough consistency, and lamination quality
* Mixing, portioning, shaping, and finishing pastries
* Maintaining excellent product quality and consistency
* Working effectively within a small, cooperative team
* Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
* Contributing to new product development and seasonal offerings
* Helping maintain a supportive and organised working environment
