The opportunity exists for a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania. In this role, you will be working alongside world-class scientists and engineers to create innovative technologies. You will have the opportunity to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge systems that drive real-world breakthroughs in marine science.
As part of our team, you will collaborate with other software developers, engineers, and scientists to build robust instrument control systems and data acquisition and analysis software. Your contributions will enable world-class marine research, advancing our understanding of the marine environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred).
* Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum preferred).
* Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
* Good communication and teamwork abilities.
