Your new role
The Development Manager will be responsible for leading the planning and delivery of residential and mixed-use developments from acquisition through to completion. This includes managing feasibility, design, approvals, construction interface, and sales strategy. The role requires a commercially astute leader with strong stakeholder management skills and a deep understanding of the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the full development lifecycle, including feasibility analysis, design coordination, planning approvals, and delivery.
* Liaise with councils, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant project progression.
* Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Monitor performance and implement cost-control strategies.
* Support land acquisition and rezoning initiatives, including industrial and residential land in growth corridors.
* Collaborate with internal and external sales teams to develop and execute sales strategies, including pricing and promotional campaigns.
* Identify and mitigate risks across planning, construction, and market conditions. Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
* Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, and opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in property development, project management, or construction delivery.
* Strong understanding of planning processes, feasibility studies, and development finance.
* Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate approval pathways.
* Tertiary qualifications in Property, Construction, Engineering, Planning, or a related field.
* Experience in residential land subdivision and/or mixed-use development is highly desirable.
