About the Yard Mechanic role
* Requires: Basic mechanical experience and practical maintenance skills.
* Salary guide: Up to $90,000 per annum.

What the Yard Mechanic will do each day
* Perform routine servicing and upkeep of plant machinery and attachments.
* Identify and troubleshoot wear, faults, and potential maintenance issues before breakdowns occur.
* Carry out minor repairs and general mechanical maintenance duties within the yard.
* Collaborate with site operators and management on machine condition and maintenance priorities.
* Ensure equipment remains safe, serviceable and ready for deployment to civil construction, demolition and earthworks projects.
* Assist with maintenance scheduling, consumables management and yard organisation as operations develop.
